⛳️ Chris Gotterup wins Scottish Open
Happy Monday. Bryson DeChambeau just appeared alongside Christopher McDonald (Shooter McGavin) in a surprisingly good Subway commercial promoting "Happy Gilmore 2." The ad pays perfect homage to the original film, with Shooter doing a classic grab-and-go move with collector's cups bearing his likeness—including snatching one right out of Bryson's hands. While McDonald delivers his trademark Shooter McGavin charm, the commercial gives us a taste of what to expect from the long-awaited sequel featuring multiple PGA Tour and LIV Golf stars. With the film set to release later this month, this well-executed commercial has golf fans even more excited to see their favorite players on the big screen. ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES
😱 Corey Conners inches away from history
Corey Conners just came inches away from recording only the second par-4 ace in PGA Tour history at the Scottish Open, with his drive on the 347-yard 5th hole coming agonizingly close to going in. The Canadian's tee shot landed 20 yards short, bounded onto the green, and fed down toward the pin like it was drawn by a magnet before sliding just past the cup. There's been only one recorded par-4 ace in Tour history—Andrew McGee's miraculous shot at the 2001 Phoenix Open that caromed off Tom Byrum's putter blade and into the hole. While Conners tapped in for eagle and went out in 33, something tells us he'll be thinking about what could have been when he closes his eyes tonight. ⬇️
How did that happen?! 🤯
An incredible drive from Corey Conners!

⛳️ Chris Gotterup wins the Scottish Open
Chris Gotterup just fended off Rory McIlroy to win the Scottish Open and earn one of the final spots into next week's Open Championship at Royal Portrush. The 25-year-old American fired a final-round 66 to beat McIlroy and Marco Penge by two shots, claiming his second PGA Tour victory and a $1.57 million payday. McIlroy was seeking his 30th career win, which would have made him just the 11th golfer in Tour history to reach that mark with at least five majors. Instead, he struggled on Sunday with a flat 68, making par on his final 10 holes and leaving several birdie opportunities on the table. Gotterup becomes just the sixth American man to win the Scottish Open in the event's history. ⬇️

🚢 Jimmy Rollins hits hole in one, wins boat
Former Phillies star Jimmy Rollins just won a $325,000 boat with his first-ever hole-in-one at the American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe. The longtime shortstop sank his shot on the 139-yard 12th hole Saturday, with the ball landing behind the pin, spinning back, and rolling into the cup. "It's funny because last night I prayed for a hole-in-one," Rollins said. "And it happened to come true. Prayers were answered today." After realizing what happened, Rollins dropped his club and jumped into NFL receiver Davante Adams' arms before celebrating on the Mastercraft boat. A volunteer had even told him the sponsors "really want to give away this boat" and explained exactly how to play the shot. ⬇️
