⛳️ Always bet on yourself
Happy Monday. Flying with golf clubs just reached new levels of absurdity when TSA intercepted a shotgun disguised as a pitching wedge. The failed smuggler apparently thought airport security wouldn't notice the firearm tucked inside his golf bag with its own camouflage "headcover." Most golfers worry about airlines breaking their clubs or losing their bags—this genius now faces serious federal charges and a lengthy "no fly" list sentence. Ironically, TSA helpfully pointed out that flying with firearms is completely legal if properly declared and secured. This hapless wannabe hitman will have plenty of time to reconsider his club selection while restricted to local courses for the foreseeable future. ⬇️
🏌️ Talk about needing a mulligan... TSA officers at @iah found a camouflaged shotgun tee'd up in a golf bag. Concealing firearms = rough consequences. Pack it unloaded, in a locked, hard-sided case, & declare it with your airline.

📰 GOLF STORIES
🤷♀️ Tiger’s TGL league considers female expansion
TGL's high-tech golf experiment is already planning expansion with ambitious plans for both a seventh team and a potential women's league featuring LPGA stars. CEO Mike McCarley revealed significant interest from potential franchise owners during the CAA World Congress of Sports meeting in Nashville. Most intriguing is the push from Los Angeles Golf Club owner Alexis Ohanian—Serena Williams' husband—who admitted "I've been bugging these guys about the LPGA deal for a minute." McCarley confirmed they're actively working on the women's league concept with strong support from current team owners. The expansion would be a significant validation for Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's indoor golf concept after its inaugural season. ⬇️

🎰 Golf’s most ironic comeback story
Marco Penge just wrote golf's most ironic comeback story by winning the DP World Tour's Hainan Classic three months after being suspended for gambling on golf. The 26-year-old Englishman, disciplined in December for violating the Tour's "integrity program," surged with four birdies in five holes Sunday for a three-stroke victory in China. "After my time off, it was the thing I wanted to really prove to myself and prove to everyone," admitted Penge, who earns his first DP World Tour title and a PGA Championship exemption next month. His redemption arc perfectly embodies his post-win philosophy: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." Always bet on yourself, indeed. ⬇️

🏈 Saquon Barkley and Donald Trump go golfing
Eagles star Saquon Barkley created an unexpected political subplot just 24 hours before the team's scheduled White House Super Bowl celebration. The All-Pro running back was photographed dining with President Trump at his Bedminster golf club before flying back to Washington on Marine One—the presidential helicopter. "What a nice guy he is. I wanted to race him, but I decided not to do it," Trump told reporters after landing. The unusual private meeting came right before the entire Eagles team visits the White House today to celebrate their 40-22 Super Bowl LIX victory over Kansas City. ⬇️
