⛳️ Hideki Matsuyama owns 400 putters
Happy Monday. Eugenio Chacarra nearly holed a low punch shot from the trees for what would've been the craziest albatross in golf history, settling for eagle instead after opening his second round at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. The former LIV golfer ended his first round with eagle and started his second with another after the recovery shot from the right rough nearly found the cup. Chacarra's 63-66 start gave him a two-shot lead through 36 holes at Royal Johannesburg as he chases his second DP World Tour title. EugeniOOOOO indeed. ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES
⛳️ Sungjae Im LIV rumors are FALSE
Sungjae Im's caddie Willy Wilcox shut down false LIV Golf rumors with a hilarious tweet: "Sung Jae signs deal with NASA to play in new space tour with events on mars and neptune," followed by a photoshopped image of Im in a spacesuit. The Golf Twitter favorite mocked the unfounded reports while Im officially refuted them on social media with less flair than his caddie. Si Woo Kim's potential LIV move remains unclear, but Im and Wilcox will be keeping their talents on the PGA Tour next season. Well played, Willy. ⬇️
👀 Justin Rose is a top 10 searched athlete
Justin Rose cracked Google's top 10 most searched athletes in the U.S. for 2025—the only golfer on a list led by Browns QB Shedeur Sanders—despite not winning a major championship. The 45-year-old lost the Masters in a playoff to Rory McIlroy, won a FedEx Cup playoff event, and putted like a god during Europe's Ryder Cup victory. The list includes six NFL players, one NBA player, one WNBA player, one boxer, and one golfer named... Justin Rose. McIlroy ranked No. 2 globally behind Terence Crawford. Amazing. ⬇️
🤔 How many putters???
Hideki Matsuyama owns "close to 400" Scotty Cameron putters according to Brad Faxon, who played with the brand's namesake and asked the Masters champion about his legendary collection. The famously tight-lipped Japanese star neither confirmed nor denied the report on The Smylie Show podcast, proving he's one of golf's greatest tinkerers willing to turn over every stone for the perfect loadout. Arnold Palmer amassed nearly 10,000 clubs at his Ohio workshop, so a couple hundred putters is barely a drop in the bucket. Share the wealth, Hideki! ⬇️
