⛳️ Hungover Golf Records

Presented by:

Happy Wednesday. This video of Tommy Fleetwood unable to watch Keegan Bradley's winning putt at the Travelers Championship is absolutely heartbreaking. CBS captured the Englishman turning away as Bradley lined up the five-footer that would steal the tournament, perfectly encapsulating the agony of defeat after Fleetwood had blown a three-shot lead with three holes to play. The image of Fleetwood covering his face while Bradley celebrated with the New England crowd is gut-wrenching, especially knowing this marked his 42nd top-10 finish on the PGA Tour without a single victory. With bogeys on 16 and 18 costing him the trophy, Fleetwood's latest near-miss adds to a painful collection of close calls that make you desperately want to see him finally break through. ⬇️

👀 See Your Game Differently

Meet the COOLSHOT 50i GII—the rangefinder changing how golfers see the course. While most rangefinders just give you yardage, Nikon delivers more: slope-adjusted distances, a dual-lock on quake feature to confirm you have ranged the flag, a mounting magnet for quick convenient use, and optics so crisp you’ll think you're looking through a tour pro’s eyes.

For years, rangefinders have been clunky, slow, or just plain inaccurate—kind of like using a ball marker the size of a poker chip. The COOLSHOT 50i GII sets a new standard: lightning-fast reads, ergonomic design, and Nikon’s legendary optics—all in one sleek device.

Whether you're tracking pins on blind shots or dialed in from 220 out, this is the tech you’ll trust under pressure.

The difference isn’t subtle. It’s Nikon. ⬇️

Last Starter: Only 33% of readers knew that The Open is the only major where the winner gets a gold medal instead of a trophy. Fitting, since one of the greatest golf movies ever made is about The Open.

The premise: Maurice Flitcroft was a humble crane driver who posed as a professional to play in the 1976 Open qualifier—despite never having played golf—shot a record-worst 121, got permanently banned by the R&A, then became a folk-hero known as “the world’s worst golfer” for repeatedly sneaking into events under fake names and disguises ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES

⛳️ Jon Rahm pranks Phil Mickelson

Jon Rahm just pulled off the perfect prank on Phil Mickelson by switching his rangefinder to meters at LIV Duels Virginia—the exact same trick that got Lefty earlier this spring. During a YouTube video with Grant Horvat and Josh Allen, someone (Allen) switched Phil's rangefinder settings, leaving him mystified when approach shots came up nearly 100 yards short. This time Rahm was the culprit, initially playing innocent by saying "Like I'm the only one who plays meters here? We have three Europeans!" Phil caught on much faster this round, immediately identifying Rahm as the prankster with a colorful reaction. When Horvat discovered his rangefinder was also switched to meters, Rahm couldn't contain his laughter anymore, doubling over in celebration of the perfect repeat performance. ⬇️

🎥 Keegan Bradley’s college golf tape (leaked)

Keegan Bradley's vintage college golf application video just resurfaced after his Travelers Championship victory, and the early 2000s nostalgia is absolutely perfect. The future U.S. Ryder Cup captain rocks a beanie and baggy pants while showcasing his swing, with father Mark Bradley explaining how his son "grew up around the game and embraced it from a young age." The youthful swing contains clear echoes of his current move, just with a bit more length and upright posture back then. This video would eventually catch the eye of St. John's University, where Bradley won nine collegiate tournaments and three Big East Player of the Year awards before earning All-American status. ⬇️

🍻 Three course records (completely hammered)

Marcel Siem just claimed to own golf's most impressive hangover record—shooting three course records while "completely hammered without sleep." The six-time DP World Tour winner dropped this bombshell on the "Life on Tour" podcast, leaving host George Harper Jr. to ask him to repeat himself in disbelief. Siem detailed one particular occasion at Pebble Beach in 2015, where a late-night bender took him straight to the first tee for a tournament round. Despite puking twice during the round, the German shot 63 while playing alongside surfing legend Kelly Slater, who "must have smelled it." The 44-year-old only confessed to his playing partners after completing the round, proving that some athletes can overcome absolutely anything—even John Daly would be impressed. ⬇️
