Happy Wednesday. Phil Mickelson trolled Patrick Cantlay's notoriously slow pre-shot routine by praising his calf muscles, joking that all his foot shuffling must give him a great workout. Cantlay and Tommy Fleetwood were put on the clock during the Tour Championship final round after falling two holes behind, with fans frustrated watching Cantlay's deliberate pace repeatedly. Phil's burn was lighthearted, but he warned that Bethpage Black fans won't be as nice about the shuffling act if Cantlay makes the Ryder Cup team. ⬇️

He shuffled his right foot 26 times. 26 TIMES before he hit it. 26 x 36 other shots is 936 foot shuffles. That’s more calf raises than I’ll ever do. You also must be in peak physical condition to do this daily so let’s stop all the hate and appreciate that golfers are athletes

Keegan Bradley warned that "a few guys that think they're going to be on the team aren't going to be" ahead of Wednesday's captain's picks announcement, while hinting he'll select himself as player-captain. The exhausted captain said automatic qualifiers and vice-captains have endorsed his self-selection, and even the President supports the move. Bradley called the decision to leave players off the team "really awful, really, really truly awful." The drama builds toward Wednesday's potential inferno of announcements. ⬇️

PGA Tour winner Michael Kim shot his shot by inviting LeBron James to play in the Genesis Invitational pro-am after the NBA star live-tweeted Tommy Fleetwood's Tour Championship victory, posting "Up 3 with 2 to play for all the marbles." Kim promised LeBron could play with "Scottie, Fleetwood or whoever you'd like" at Riviera during a Lakers home stretch. He also threw in a subtle dig at Brooks Koepka, noting "it's not like he can play with Brooks either" since Koepka's on LIV. ⬇️
