The modern game of golf originated in Scotland, can you name the century? |
Last Starter: 38% of readers knew that Shinnecock Hills was the first golf course in the United States (founded in 1891). There is no video available from back then. In fact, the first hole-in-one ever captured on camera wasn't recorded until 1962. The camera work is awful, you can barely see what’s happening, it’s in black and white but hey…it’s the first hole in one ever. ⬇️
📝 GOLF STORIES
After nearly losing his Tour card in December, Joel Dahmen knew he needed to get mentally tougher. His solution? Let Navy SEALs torture him in shark-infested cold water for 48 hours. "Had I known how miserable I'd be, I wouldn't have done it," he admits. ⬇️
Can the PGA even fix this?
The PGA Tour's pace of play problem hit rock bottom at this weekend's Farmers Insurance Open. The final group took three hours just to play nine holes at Torrey Pines, and even CBS's announcers finally snapped on live TV. What's happening to pro golf might be unfixable - and it's getting worse every week. ⬇️
Rick Shiels signs with LIV Golf
LIV Golf just landed its most important signing of 2025, and it's not even a player. Rick Shiels and his 3 million YouTube subscribers are about to change how fans watch professional golf forever. The strategy behind this unprecedented deal is turning heads. ⬇️
English wins the 2025 Farmers Insurance Open
Harris English just pulled off the most improbable win of 2025 at Torrey Pines. After missing his first two starts of the year and stumbling early with bogeys, he had to survive 40mph winds and 12 straight pressure-packed pars to steal the victory. His final round was a masterclass in survival golf. ⬇️
🍻 The Parking Lot
Bryson DeChambeau just tested Costco's budget golf clubs, and his reaction shocked everyone. The same store selling $1.50 hot dogs is now making clubs that impressed one of golf's biggest equipment nerds. His verdict might change how you think about expensive golf gear. ⬇️

🎰 LOCK FACTORY

We wrapped up an interesting weekend of golf with a Saturday final round. It was a great start for many of the big names in the tournament this week, but it ended with Ludvig Aberg struggling all weekend and giving up his lead. We ultimately got unlucky with Jason Day missing the top 20 after shooting +4 in the final round. However, we were still able to cash in on Keegan Bradley's top 20 finish. We'll now move on to next week's Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where we'll have some juicy picks for you on Wednesday. In the meantime, here's something to hold you over:
