🐅 Tiger’s Debut at the TGL

Public discourse on the TGL is pretty split. Some love it. Some hate it. Yes, it’s not REAL GOLF (no shit). But, some golf is better than no golf. And you don’t get moments like this in “traditional” golf. Tiger had his debut at the TGL last night and walked out to Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. Absolutely electric. ⬇️

Well, Tiger didn’t waste any time last night. He dropped a hammer on hole one. ⬇️

Now, what about the actual matchup? Jupiter Links Golf Club vs L.A. Golf Club. And L.A. dominated. Like not even close. 12-1. The Tiger walkouts and The Hammer are only going to take the TGL so far. The competition has been…nonexistent. We’ll see if next week’s matchup (New York Golf Club vs Atlanta Drive GC) can bring some fireworks.

Thursday kicks off the most interesting tournament of the year: The American Express. This is the only tournament where players play 3 different courses Thursday-Saturday, and the cut is made after 54 holes, before the final round on the Stadium Course. After cashing on the Rams' ML on Monday night, maybe it's time to play it safe with some of the favorites, right? Wrong.
