⛳️ Pace-of-Play Fight
Happy Wednesday. A golfer just got absolutely demolished in a lopsided pace-of-play fight that ended with him being tossed into a pond like a rag doll. The wild confrontation on a tee box shows one golfer confidently dropping his glove before getting pummeled with multiple punches to the head and literally thrown around by his much larger opponent. Despite taking a severe beating, the smaller golfer kept trying to fight back—which was clearly not a wise decision given the size difference. The incident serves as another reminder that pace-of-play disputes can quickly escalate into violence, and if you're going to fight someone on the course, maybe make sure they're your own size first. ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES
🎥 Why Bryson became a YouTuber
Bryson DeChambeau just revealed the real reason he started his massively successful YouTube channel—to fix his damaged reputation on tour. Speaking with Phil Mickelson, the two-time U.S. Open champion admitted his YouTube journey began after realizing how poorly he was perceived by fans and fellow players. "There was a certain perception of me," DeChambeau said. "I thought, 'this is not who I am. How do I show people more of who I am?'" The strategy worked brilliantly, transforming him from golf's most polarizing figure into one of its biggest stars with 2.1 million subscribers. DeChambeau also credited Mickelson's old instructional DVDs and YouTubers like Mr Beast as inspiration for bridging the gap between professional athletics and content creation. ⬇️
⛳️ Collin Morikawa has a legend on the bag
Collin Morikawa's caddie carousel has stopped again, this time with legendary looper Billy Foster joining his bag for the Scottish Open and Open Championship. The two-time major champion split with longtime caddie JJ Jakovac in April before spending just five tournaments with Joe Greiner, Max Homa's former caddie. Foster brings serious credentials to the partnership, having previously worked with Seve Ballesteros, Lee Westwood, and Matt Fitzpatrick during his 2022 U.S. Open victory. While this appears to be a two-week trial run as Morikawa continues searching for a permanent solution, pairing with Foster for links golf makes perfect sense given the veteran caddie's extensive experience on seaside courses. ⬇️
The new dream team. Shame about the cap.

👀 Max Homa receives delusional venmo request
Max Homa just received the most delusional Venmo request in sports history—$1,900 from a gambler demanding the PGA Tour pro cover his betting losses. After Homa's best finish in over 14 months (T5 at the John Deere Classic), someone named Carl Watkins sent him a payment request with the description "Bc you can't putt under pressure." This came alongside the usual vile social media harassment that athletes face daily from anonymous accounts. The irony? While this bettor was trying to recoup $1,900 from his bad wager, Homa pocketed over $278,000 for his weekend's work. The incident perfectly validates Homa's recent decision to leave X, which he called "a safe haven for a assholes." ⬇️
