⛳️ Joel Dahmen’s Bizarre 4-Stroke Penalty

This is a weird one. Let’s break it down:

1. Coming into the Shriners Children’s Open this weekend, Joel Dahmen was ranked #124 in the FedEx Cup. The top 125 golfers keep full PGA Tour status for next year.

2. On Thursday, at the fourth hole, he discovered an extra 4-iron in his golf bag, exceeding the 14-club limit. The penalty is 2 strokes per hole (max 4 per round).

3. As a result, he went from E to +4 after a rules official confirmed the violation.

Absolutely brutal.

Next September, one of America’s toughest courses, Bethpage Black will host the 2025 Ryder Cup. But, there’s a slight problem. The prices…

• $255 for Tuesday/Wednesday practice days

• $423 for Thursday practice day

• $750 for Friday, Saturday, & Sunday match days

Golf fans are not happy. The match day prices are double what they were last Ryder Cup.

Bryan Karns, championship director for the PGA of America, sees the event as a premier spectacle, stating, "We view ourselves as a Tier 1 event that's on par with a World Series, or with an NBA Finals Game 7.”

Are the prices reasonable or outrageous?

👨‍💼 LIV Golf replacing CEO Greg Norman

LIV Golf is in the market for a new leader. Saudi Arabia’s PIF, which finances LIV, is actively looking to replace current CEO, Greg Norman. Norman will stay with LIV in some capacity.
