Happy Wednesday. Ben Griffin debuted a radical new approach to TPC Sawgrass' controversial sixth-hole oak tree, playing a towering fade around it instead of the traditional low shot underneath during Monday's practice round. "Bang," Griffin said with swagger after hitting the center of the fairway. The tree died in 2014 but returned in 2025 to players' chagrin and fans' delight. The approach requires hitting through a smaller window with perfect fade—if it doesn't fade, fuhgeddaboudit. For now it's theoretical, but if Griffin aims way left come Sunday, buckle up. Dustin Johnson couldn't remember his 4Aces teammates from their last LIV win in 2023, delivering a vintage DJ-ism: "P-Reed was one of 'em... Sorry to see him go." Pushed to name the other two, the two-time major champ admitted defeat: "Yeah, I have no idea." It was Patrick Reed, Pat Perez (both no longer on LIV), and Peter Uihlein (now on Range Goats). In DJ's defense, two share the same first name and Uihlein resembles Reed. Anthony Kim says DJ promised to buy 4Aces a private jet, so call him Winnie the Pooh—nobody cares. ⬇️

San Francisco 49ers players were forced by their wives to "pose on this tree like Vogue models" in Cabo in order to play golf together, resulting in hilarious photos of NFL stars striking fierce poses around a tree. The WAGs' ultimatum: strike model poses or no golf. The players went along with it without hesitation because, unsurprisingly, average golfers and celebrity golfers will do just about anything to get out on the course.
