⛳️ Scottie Scheffler's failed driver test (leaked)
Presented by:
Happy Friday. A Jupiter man opened fire on four golfers from his backyard Tuesday, turning a quiet round at Abacoa Golf Course into a terrifying shooting scene. Daniel Nobile, 27, allegedly fired 6-10 rounds from a Glock 17 at golfers on the third hole, with bullets hitting the ground near them as they scrambled for cover behind golf carts. "They were very shocked, obviously very unexpected," Jupiter Police Chief Michael Barbera told WPBF News. The golfers, who had zero prior interaction with Nobile, fled immediately while the course was evacuated. Police found the suspect's pistol wrapped in cloth and hidden in his garage after he surrendered peacefully. Nobile faces four counts of attempted second-degree murder with no bond pending a mental health evaluation. ⬇️

🎙️ The Starter
Who is the only golfer to have won a PGA Tour event in seven different decades? |
Last Starter: 61% of readers knew that there is no penalty if you hit a ball into your own golf cart. Golf is full of weird rules/anomalies. Imagine making a putt but getting penalized 1 stroke because you “waited too long.” ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES
⛳️ Charlie Woods wins tournament, ranked #606
Charlie Woods just achieved something wildly improbable—winning his first AJGA tournament while carrying the impossible burden of being Tiger's son. The 16-year-old fired rounds of 70-65-66 to win by three shots at Streamsong, but the victory represents far more than golf scores. Charlie entered ranked 606th out of junior golfers, with only one player in the 72-man field ranked lower. "Just being able to say to myself that I have won an absolutely amazing event and say that I have performed under high pressure situations is huge going forward," Charlie said afterward. As Golf Digest's Michael Bamberger notes, Charlie doesn't have "the freedom that every teenager deserves, to succeed or not in relative anonymity." Tiger wisely stayed silent, letting his son have the moment entirely to himself. ⬇️
😡 Scottie Scheffler failed driver test leaked
Xander Schauffele just fessed up to accidentally leaking Scottie Scheffler's failed driver test at the PGA Championship, sheepishly admitting "Sorry, dude" for creating unwanted media drama after Scheffler's dominant victory. The reigning Open champion revealed he mentioned Scheffler's test failure as a compliment—"this guy just used his backup and absolutely rinsed the field again"—not realizing it would become a story. Schauffele also dispelled myths about driver testing, explaining failed tests are "really normal" and provide minimal advantage, comparing it to wearing down equipment rather than using a "corked bat." His solution? Test everyone and track serial numbers. "I thought it was kind of crazy when you test 30 guys and the other 120 get to kind of roam around," he said about the current random system. ⬇️

💣 Bryson hit a golf ball 500 yards
Bryson DeChambeau just experienced a different kind of speed at the Indianapolis 500, hitching a 180-mph ride in a two-seat Indy car before crushing a claimed 500-yard drive on the track's back stretch. The self-proclaimed science nerd, who admits he "hated rollercoasters growing up," was blown away by the experience. "Going around the track was actually insane," DeChambeau said. "It's a rollercoaster, but way faster and lower to the ground … the G-forces are just incredible." The LIV golfer also got to tee it up at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where he launched a bomb that allegedly carried 500 yards thanks to the track's firm conditions. From analyzing spin rates to G-forces—just another weekend for golf's most captivating “content creator”. ⬇️
