⛳️ TGL is back...
Happy Monday. TGL is "taking the governor off" for Season 2 with quirkier holes like Cenote (a par-3 with a cape funnel behind the green), Stinger (forcing draws through a 50-foot arch), and team-specific home holes featuring Golden Gate Bridge and Charles River settings. The green expanded 38% to 5,270 square feet with 12 pin positions instead of seven, two bunkers instead of three, and brighter graphics. Billy Horschel went from concerned about "too goofy" to demanding "more of these." Keegan Bradley hit the most balls prepping. Season 2 debuts Sunday on ABC. ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES
⛳️ Brooks leaves LIV
Brooks Koepka left LIV Golf with one year remaining on his contract, mutually agreeing to part ways as he prioritizes "staying closer to home" with family. The five-time major champion missed cuts at three of four 2025 majors and finished 31st in LIV's individual standings after joining in 2022 for a reported $100+ million. LIV is down to Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm as tentpole players. Koepka faces at least one-year PGA Tour suspension but could play DP World Tour in 2026. Talor Gooch replaces him as Smash G.C. captain. ⬇️
👀 Mito Pereira retires from golf
Mito Pereira retired from golf at 30 after being relegated from LIV Golf for 2026, announcing "my main desire is to step away from constant travel, return to Chile, and focus on my personal life." The Chilean is best known for blowing a three-shot final-round lead at the 2022 PGA Championship, finding water on 72 and making double-bogey to miss the playoff by one. He won 13 worldwide titles including three Korn Ferry Tour victories earning a battlefield promotion, but struggled after joining LIV in 2022. "Chile is my place in the world." ⬇️
🤔 Annika Sorenstam on her son’s golf game
Annika Sorenstam said playing with 14-year-old son Will McGee at the PNC Championship makes her "more creative" as he challenges her to "try something new" instead of being "an old dog doing the same tricks." The World Golf Hall of Famer admires his "free spirit, go for it" attitude without fear. Golf Digest Best Young Teacher Sara Dickson says young players "see possibility first, not risk" while adults are "outcome-oriented" with awareness of consequence. Playing with your kids brings that child-like creativity and freedom back to your game. ⬇️
