⛳️ The best chip of all time?
Presented by:
Happy Wednesday. A golfer just gave new meaning to Shooter McGavin's famous "how am I supposed to chip with that going on, Doug?" line after casually putting while a massive alligator lurked just 15 yards away. The viral video shows what can only be described as the "Yao Ming of gators"—a prehistoric monster that stomps around the course like it owns the place while other wildlife parts like the Red Sea. The most bonkers part? The golfer actually turns his back on the killing machine to line up his putt, showing either incredible dedication or complete insanity. This is a clear "put-me-down-for-6" scenario where you pick up your ball and keep all four limbs attached. Respect the commitment, but that gator can hit 35 mph on land. ⬇️

📰 GOLF STORIES
⛳️ Best chip shot of all time?
Bryson DeChambeau just delivered the ultimate endorsement of Phil Mickelson's ridiculous side-hill chip-in at LIV Virginia, calling it "one of the greatest shots he's ever seen." The 54-year-old Lefty turned back the clock with a wild flop shot that stopped the internet in its tracks, proving there's still magic in those hands despite his struggles since joining LIV. DeChambeau, who was playing in the same group and witnessed the lie firsthand, didn't hold back with his praise. Coming from a guy who regularly makes aces over his house and delivered that legendary sand save on the 72nd hole of last year's U.S. Open, that's serious credibility. In terms of pure creativity, commitment and execution, it's vintage Phil being Phil—savor these moments while we still can. ⬇️
Even @brysondech was stunnned by @PhilMickelson’s unbelievable flop shot on 17 😮

🤣 Is LIV Golf dead?
NBC Sports chief Sam Flood just delivered a brutal assessment of LIV Golf, calling it "almost a total sideshow" that's proven irrelevant to American audiences. Speaking from his Connecticut office, Flood pointed to LIV Miami's peak moment—when big names topped the leaderboard but "no one paid attention"—as proof the Saudi-backed league has lost momentum. Despite LIV Miami drawing its biggest audience at 603,000 viewers, NBC's concurrent Valero Texas Open delivered 2.2 million and peaked at over 4 million. "That to me said the product is not relevant in this country," Flood said. Meanwhile, NBC faces uncertainty over its golf future as negotiations with the USGA stalled and Golf Channel prepares to spin off into a new company called Versant, potentially reshaping golf broadcasting entirely. ⬇️
NBC's complicated golf future rests in the hands of EP Sam Flood.
We spent an afternoon in Stamford last week to talk about it all, and he delivered a couple of HAYMAKERS, like this one:
“The LIV stuff is almost a total sideshow."

✍️ Bryson renegotiating with LIV Golf
Bryson DeChambeau just revealed he'll start negotiating a new LIV Golf contract at the end of the year, setting up a crucial decision that could shape the Saudi-backed league's future. The two-time U.S. Open champion confirmed his current deal expires next year and expressed optimism about re-signing. "They see the value in me. I see the value in what they can provide," DeChambeau said at Oakmont. His potential departure would create serious viability questions for LIV, while a new deal would bolster their prospects amid stalled reunification talks with the PGA Tour. DeChambeau also credited LIV with being "very freeing" for his sponsorship portfolio, helping attract partners like Qualcomm, Google, and Reebok while maintaining relationships with Rolex since turning pro in 2016. ⬇️
