⛳️ The Masters
Hello friends - and welcome to Augusta National Golf Club for the Masters. A tradition unlike any other. There’s something in the air today, the world feels still. It’s Friday at the Masters and all is right. The best shot at the Masters so far? It’s not even from one of the players. Poppy Mcllroy, Rory’s young daughter, made a LONG putt that got the crowd going. Side note: she barely hit it - these greens are basically concrete. ⬇️

😂 When Nature Calls: Amateur Takes Unscheduled 'Relief' in Rae's Creek at Masters
Augusta National just witnessed one of the most brazen violations of golf etiquette in Masters history when amateur Jose Luis Ballester answered nature's call directly into Rae's Creek at the 13th hole. The 21-year-old Spaniard casually relieved himself behind golf's most famous shrubbery while playing partner Justin Thomas was preoccupied with his own penalty situation. Most shocking of all? The young amateur claimed the impromptu pit stop earned "one of the loudest claps I really got today" and he'd "do it again" if necessary. ⬇️

💸 Inside the Chaotic Hunt for Augusta's Most Coveted Prize: The Masters Garden Gnome
The hardest part of attending the Masters isn't getting tickets—it's securing the tournament's most coveted merchandise item that's creating three-hour lines and selling out within minutes. One reporter's quest for this year's Masters gnome became an obsession spanning multiple days, multiple shops, and multiple failed attempts before a miraculous discovery of approximately 50 remaining gnomes that disappeared just 10 minutes after being spotted. The biggest challenge wasn't battling other determined patrons but explaining to his wife why their small New York apartment needed this new Augusta National resident. ⬇️
👀 Two Golfers Actually Turned Down Masters Invitations—A Decision Previous Players Have Painfully Regretted
Two golfers made the unthinkable choice to decline Masters invitations this year, prioritizing professional careers over the chance to compete at Augusta National. The controversial decisions by Jacob Skov Olesen and Wenyi Ding leave just five amateurs in the field—the smallest group in years—while highlighting golf's increasingly difficult amateur-professional divide. Among those who did accept: a 21-year-old who shares a swing coach with Sergio Garcia, a portfolio manager who admits to having "lower expectations than most," and the first-ever competitor from Singapore. ⬇️
